The City of Chesterfield was formed in 1988 and is located about 25 miles west of St Louis, Missouri. Interstate 64/US Hwy 40 runs East-West through Chesterfield. Its made up of residential neighborhoods, shopping and dining, and business establishments. There is public transportation that connects Chesterfield to many other portions of the Greater St Louis area by numerous bus routes. Spirit of St. Louis Airport, a public airport is also located in Chesterfield Valley.
The city has several recreation facilities including the Chesterfield Amphitheater which offers concerts, movies, and other events throughout the year. Chesterfield Valley Athletic Complex and the Chesterfield Family Aquatic Center are two more enjoyable places to spend the day. Faust Park contains a historical village, walking trail, carousel, and “The Butterfly House” – a glass conservatory for more than a thousand live butterflies!
Chesterfield is home to the Logan College of Chiropractic which offers undergraduate and graduate-level courses in Chiropractic, Pre-Chiropractic, Sport Science, and Rehabilitation Medicine.
The city is served by two school districts: Rockwood School District serves the western portion of the city and Parkway School District serves the east.
